I have a 4870 1gb and thinking about picking up a new 4890 for crossfire. I have a Thermaltake toughpower 750 w power supply thats crossfire ready but only have 2 x 6 pin power connectors and their being used to power the 4870 I have. It also has 1 x 8 pin power connector not being used. Do I need to buy a new power supply with 4 x 6 pin power connectors to make crossfire happen? My PS is not modular either so that option is out. Are their adapters to make this work for power? Thanks for your input.

Hey thanks for the link rewindlabs ,no worries. We are all here to learn. Thats the connector I was looking for if one existed. Will save me $200 on a new power supply if this works.
