6gb or 12gb

i am stuck between these two sets or RAM

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB

will i notice a "huge" difference in getting the 12 gb kit instead of the 6gb? i have heard that 12gb of ram is useless..need some opinions

What will you be using the PC for ?

If it is for general tasks and especially gaming, then 6GB is the best option...
Go with 12GB only if you into video editing/ rendering, pro photoshop and other multimedia stuff...

And I would suggest these kits over that for that price... - All have tighter timings and as good as that Dominators...

If price doesn't matter - get 12GBs. Your computer will always find something to do with the extra RAM. Might not be that efficient, but why not be ready for Windows 8?
