How do I find my hard drive rpm without opening my PC case?

Hmm one way would be to look up the exact model name in the device manager and just Google the name.

WDC WD50 00AAKS-00V1A SCSI disk device

It's a 7200RPM drive, I just searched for "WDC WD50 00AAKS", numbers after the dash are just manufacturing numbers.

BTW- Google found 200 results with the whole "WDC WD50 00AAKS-00V1A SCSI disk device"

Oh no problem, I just searched for the prefix of the name instead of the whole thing.

WD has started obscuring the RPM with its IntelliPower marketing-speak.
