Hello ,
i have Q9550 quad cpu ...
i just googled it ... but the posts was very old with old CPU pictures .
and i really dont wanna take a risk with my cpu ..
as i see , i will have to put it Between the Motherboard and the cpu and not between the CPU and the Fan , right ?

and as i saw in the old posts about it ... the cpu had like pins ... its oldy , they put it under the cpu and put the cables between the pins .. but Q9550 doesnt have any pins like that old cpu..
Wt to do ?:X Thanks

Your thermal sensor should have some kind of instructions. If there's room, I have used copper tape along the edge of the cpu before installation for pin mod overclocking. I don't know how wide or thick the sensor material is. If it will fit along the edge of the processor without covering any pads, then you should be able to install it between the cpu and socket. But the material must be very thin and stick to the surface of the cpu. I've never used one though.
