General airflow:

In the front/bottom/site
Out the back/top.

If this is a computer you built, and its always had high CPU temps, the HSF is probably on wrong. Take it off, clean it up, and reapply.

thanks to all for your replies.

i built pc myself the case fan is in back and blowing out.

i've got a AMD Athlon X2 7850 2.8GHz Black Edition Socket AM2 fitted in a ASROCK NF6-GLAN GeForce 6150SE, the cpu temp is 45c at normal and goes just above 60c when gaming (cod4). i've tried new paste and adding a case fan but no difference.
before posting here i did a bit of searching and whilst some people say they do tend to normally run a bit hot these cpus are meant to be able to be overclocked which would not leave much room for manoeuvre.

CPU temps also depends on the room temp.........

Try all the possible combinations of fans blowing in and out.........Maybe you get better temps....
Geforce 6150 is integrated so no worries about GPU cooling.
One more thing you can do is to open up the side cover of the case and keep it open all the time.
I have done that in past and the system emained cool.
