When monitoring CPU temps while overclocking should I be paying attention to my core temperatures or the cpu temperature?

HWID? Is that CPUID hardware monitor? Because that is what I am using.

Excellent. I am sitting at 37C under light duty (surfing and downloading) and 47C while gaming at 3.8ghz on stock cooler. Thanks for your help!

yeach. agree to watch CPU tmp in Hw monitor pro, coretemp always below CPU Temp.

Oddly enough I am seeing higher Core temps than I am CPU temps. Is my motherboard just not reporting the temps correctly?
