I will be building this pc soon. It will be my first build used mainly for gaming. I'm looking for suggestions/comments. Maybe like a "get this instead of this" or "you would get more performance with this". Thanks n advance,

Frank

I think you are wasting money on that E8600, you might as well build an i7 or get a Q9550 for what you are paying.

Go for a WD6401AALS or WD1001FALS, both will be faster.

Get a ATI card so you can Xfire, otherwise get a GA-EP45-UD3R

P45 sees no benefit from faster ram, Just get low timing/low voltage DDR2 800

+1 for xthekidx.

For gaming, the vga card is much more important than the cpu once you get to a clock rate of about 3.0.
Back off the cpu to a E8400 and spend the savings on a GTX275 class card.. You won't even need to overclock.

The zalman cooler is pretty, but a bit dated. Look for a tower type cooler with a 120mm fan like the Xigmatek S1283:

It is cheaper and better.

The case already has very good cooling; I like it. Don't bother with a side fan, I think it is unnecessary, and disrupts the natural front to back airflow.
You could always add it later if needed.

Well again +1 for xthekid...
Get a Q9550 for the same price range or the i7 for a just a little more...
If you are going with P45 chip with dual pcie slot, ATI is a better option as it gives future crossfire option...else buy a P45 mobo with a single pcie slot if you are planning to buy nvidia...

And like geofelt said give us the budget...am sure you can get a better build...
