I am almost done with my HTPC build but I have a question.I bought all the needed components but one -the GPU.The reason for this is that I have an EVGA GTX#295 and was going to use this card but was not sure if this card would be good for what I am intending it for.I will be gaming only a little bit but mainly for media use and searching internet(price comparison-shopping) and watching Blu Ray movies. My other choice is this<><>http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageGallery.aspx?CurImag...;><> Just wanted some feedback.

Your hyperlink is all messed up.

However, it looks like you are considering an ECS GTS450 for the HTPC?

If you're gaming and you can stand the heat and noise, the GTX 295 is a much better card.

Are you running at 1080p? Do you need the HDMI audio that the 450 has that the 295 does not?

Yeah i will be running a 60 inch Mitsubishi(3d)Tv.I know the 295 is overkill but since I already have it(leftover from an old build)should I use the 295 or the 450??Which would my set-up benefit from??<><>Motherboard-Asus P6T6<><>CPU- i7 950 with Corsair H70<><>RAM-12gb Corsair @ 1333mHz<><>Case- Silverstone Raven RVO1<><>Hard Drive Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb<><>External Hard Drive-Seagate Free Agent GoFlex 3tb<><>Ssd-Corsair 128gb<><>OS-Windows 7x64xUltimate<><>Soundcard-Asus Xonar D2X<><>GPU-UNDECIDED(either a EVGA GTX 295 Co-Op or ECS GTS 450)<><>Optical 1-Sony Blu Ray Burner<><>Optical #2 Lite on DVD-Rom drive<>Optical#3-Samsung SH-B123L Blu Ray Drive<><>Power Supply- Silverstone DA-1000w<><>Blu Ray Player-Sony BDP-470<><>Receiver-Sony S3r-DN11010-7.1 surround sound receiver<>Etc....................................................

The only benefit the GTS 450 has is the onboard audio with HD bitsreaming, and it can do 3D blu-ray. Since you've already got a blu-ray player, just go with the GTX 295.
