Try booting into safe mode, and doing a virus scan. Install Spybot Search & Destroy, and other antivirus/antimalware programs.

I tried most of the replies and nothing seemed to work. So I am now using Mozilla firefox and almost all of the problems are cured. I thank all of you that responded to my question.
