Hi, I am having some problems with a my system freezing then resuming. It freezes for about 3-5 mins. The mouse works but nothing else. Then it starts again fine. It's like its stuck in a process or something. Any clicks I have made while it is frozen are remembered and then processed once it resumes working.

My system is

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz (1066FSB)
Asus P5Q Pro intel P45
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2-8500C5
adaptec 5445 raid controller
4 x 640GB Western digital drives in Raid 10
Nvidia 6800 graphics card.

I have reinstalled the system to try to fix it and I am running Windows Vista 64.

I am not running this system overclocked.

Any ideas?

I did the full memtest86+ test and no errors were found. My power supply is 600w.

I notice I had upgraded my drivers for the Adaptec 5445 and not the cards bios so I updated that. The problem has got a lot better but still continues. It happened once this morning in the hour I tested my PC where as it happened 5 times in the time it took me to downoad the bios and update the card the night before.

Any other ideas?

I have turned off the power saving options in the adaptec card and as far as I can tell the motherboard.
