Spec's:

i7 920
Asus P6T Delux v2
4870x2
x800

Im trying to use my 4870 to run monitor one and the TV and use the x800 to run monitor 2. When i do this, windows or CCC wont let me use that other card.

All i get in device manager is the error code 38 : Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

Yes, i have restarted my computer. Yes, when i attempt to download just the ATI driver for the x800, all it does is attempt to reinstall CCC, and then ends up screwing the whole thing up.

Help?

Ugh... I've never tried that but I would say that it wont work since X800 uses an older set of drivers not included in CAT 9.4...
There might be some conflict when trying to install both... Write an email to customer support at AMD/ATI and asked them the same question.

Can you just download the display driver for the x800 and not the full package with the CCC?

Different display drivers, so you can not do this.
