I have an Asus P5Q pro mobo and ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB card.
I thought it odd that the driver installed is called ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series instead of 4870.
Anyway Asus Smart Doctor can't get info on this board so it doesn't run and Ai suite and EPU-6 Engine don't seem to see it either.
When I download the driver from ATI site it got installed as ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series.

A friend of mine has HD 4870 and it reports HD 4800 series in CCC,i dont think there is a problem with it.

My HD4850 reprts HD4800 series also. The HD4850 and HD4870 are identicle except that one uses DDR3 and the other DDR5.

I have the same situation. I don't think there is a problem with HD4800 series driver. Maybe Asus Smart Doctor can see HD4870x2, but the doctor is not smart enough to detect half of it: HD4870. Maybe an update is needed.
