Which CPU cooler?

hi guys Im looking into a CPU cooler which I will be getting for my older build, problem is I have a relatively small case it is a gigabyte x9 what is the absolute best CPU cooler that will fit in that case?

I have an i5 760

4gb transcend jetram

585 watt gigabyte odin PSU

msi gtx 460 cyclone

gigabyte p55a ud4p motherboard

Well i dont really know abt the case, but a hyper 212+ does great price/perf..

How much clearance do you have in the case?? I would suggest you measure it as the 212+ is fairly large cooler.. To find the right cooler it's important to know ram clearance, side panel clearance. Check this thread

the case is 185mm wide... take away 20-25mm for mobo and cpu clearance and you are left with roughly 160mm for the heatsink... just tight enough room for the hyper 212+... you can't install the side fan...

Just get the front 120mm fan installed but leave the rear fan slot empty... face the hyper 212+ fan to blow towards the rear fan slot as an exhaust... that should take care of air flow in the case...
