The 9800GTX+ is at least as fast as the HD 4850. In some benchmarks significantly faster.
The HD 4770 is meant to replace the HD 4830 and some preliminary benchmark from a Chinese site pegs the HD 4770 to be 10% - 12% slower on average compared to the HD 4850.
The HD 4770 is not for you unless you are looking for less performance.

But the main thing is that it's not an improvement, it's essentially a tie at best with +/- performance around the same level as the GTX+ from that review.
But if your system already supports your GTX+ then that's not a major concern for you.
Performance wise not faster than what you have.

Its $110 on Newegg. No point in selling a 9800GTX+ and getting. Other than power savings, even with GDDR5, the 9800GTX+ beats it (The 4850 beats it in Toms' article, so naturally the GTX+ does.)

I'm going to get one of these cards but I'm kind of on the cliff about waiting until a 1gig version comes out. Of course the downside to that is the price will be higher and I can get a stronger card overall for the price. I'm not sure weather to settle with 512mb and crossfire since I game at 1900x1200.
