Yesterday, I bought home a GA-MA785GM US2H motherboard to replace my 4 year old MOBO. After install the new MOBO, I powered it on and formatted my current harddrive. I couldn't install Windows Vista because it said, Windows installation does not support current hardware or disk controller needs to be turned on. I restarted my computer, booted into bios and saw that the sata controller was already on. After exiting, I get "error loading OS".
Is it the bio problem?
Current Specs:
GA-MA785GM-US2H
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz
A-DATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
IDE Harddrive (Slave)
IDE DVDROM (Master)
Since the MOBO has only one IDE port, I have the harddrive and the dvdrom connected with the IDE connector.
