While shooting a wedding, my 5Dmark II showed an error and locked up. I turned off the camera and turned it back on. I took one more picture and it locked up again. I turned it off and replaced the card, with no further issues. When I tried to download pictures in error card, nothing showed on the computer. The computer is asking me to formatt the card again. I have never had any problems with the Lexar Plat II 80x cards before. What can I do to recover my photo????

Memory card error often happens when we use digital camera to take photos, or trying to retrieve pictures from camera. But do not worry, it is possible to restore photos from corrupted memory card.

You will need to take out memory card (in this case CF card) from digital camera, and then connect memory card to computer with a usb card reader. If you do not know what is usb card reader, you can read this wiki page

After you have connected the memory card to computer, you can see whether it is shown as a drive letter in computer. If not, you can go to device manager and then assign a drive letter to the memory card. You may see this guide if you do not sure how

If memory card is shown as a drive letter, you can then use memory card data recovery tool to scan the memory card and recover your files, here's some good one
