Faulty LCD

I have a LCD temp monitor that has recently become faulty. When I switch it on it is fine but after a while it fogs up like there is condensation in the screen. When I switch it off and on again it clears and then fogs again. is there any way of fixing this?

what it sounds like is that the crystals are dieing, which happens.
