I'm Looking To Build A 2nd Computer For Simple Home Use, Seems Our Old Dell Inspirion And Ibm Crapped Out, I Need To Have A Computer That Can Support Basic Functions, Internet, Messengers, Word Processing, It Will Not Be Used For Any Video Games, Video Editing, Or Any Complex Programs. Would Be Looking To Run Vista Though, If You Could Please Help Me On Ideas For A Decent Cpu And Motherboard Setup, Im Sure The Heatsink Included With The Cpu Would Be Fine Since It Won't Be Put Through Strenuous Work But Give Me A Heads Up If I Have The Wrong Idea

Well I Was Thinking Of Saving An Old Case And 300w Power Supply, Also Found A Really Cheap Intel Duo 2g So I Thought It Would Run About 200-300 For New Stuff, And That Seems To Be Better Than 500 Or More For A Simple Pc

You may be able to reuse the hard drives and DVD drives too.

The problem is that you'd have to buy Windows again, and that's around $100.

Anyway, yeah, any dual-core CPU would do all right there.

If you want to run Vista you will need a graphics card. A 780G/790GX board (with integrated graphics) would do too, if the budget is really low, but those only work with AMD CPUs.
