In Australia the Logitech Momo Force Leather wheel has been discontinued. The technician doesn't seem at all surprised as it apparently suffered numerous technical problems, eg, the motor would just fall out! It has been replaced by the Logitech Momo Force Racing wheel, which is half the price, isn't leather and incorporates an in line gear lever as well as paddles. Haven't got the technical specs yet but it would seem to be a move down market. Apparently, force feedback requires both robustness and lightweight, which are not complimentary.

This seems to fly in the face of the excellent reviews of the Leather wheel, robustness being one of its pluses!

Is "Tom" testing the new wheel?

Previous posts have recommended the Thomas Super wheel. The product does sound excellent, however, for Australians, the shipping alone is $200US!
