I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP.

I work at a microcenter.

I can sell you brand new D0-i7 920 for $270
Now I just gotta figure out which is cheaper for seller fees...amazon or ebay... =/

Also, don't get any PSU with a case...those are crap. You need a good name brand power supply (ie. Thermaltake, Silverstone, PCPower and cooling, Zalman, Corsair, Antec, etc) for a power hungry i7 rig

You also don't need the deluxe v2, just get the plain p6t and save $70. The deluxe does have some extra features, but you won't need any of them for your build.

@BluescreenDeath, i know about the low quality PSU that usually come with cases, i might decide to change that later on but i do not know how to pick a good PSU. Any ideas?
@sid_nag17, Dude does 10-15 bucks does not really make that much difference on a scale of 1000. What advantage goes with picking a 32mb cahe
@apache_lives why? it rocks
@belial2k, i will look into that, but forums i have been on, keep saying how amazing the deluxe v2 is
@ainarssems, the reason i am going with 4gb ram is because of the ram limit on xp 32 bit. I was wondering if w7 64 bit would have problems with some parts or drivers
@wisecracker, yeah for "beats" , programming and some softwares that require a shitload amount of cpu power. This grasshoppers running all the way through.

video editing , dreamweaver and flash mx for web design, a mechanical engineering program for desingning parts and producing music beats. Gaming will be a minor function, probably just flight simulator and one or 2 rts games.
WOW, I REALLY APPRECIATE THE NUMBER OF REPLIES I'VE BEEEN GETTING IN JUST ONE DAY. CONSIDERING I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS SITE THIS WEEK.

Ram needs to Go, get some triple channel that is RATED for I7s, since they can only use ram up to 1.65V safely without VTT adjustments (err, if you dont know what that is, just get some ram that says made for i7 or i7 edition or something like that)

PSU needs to go as well

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227381 (what I have in my system)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007&Tpk=HX1000w (what I have in my system, overkill with power is always good, because if she blows, your whole system goes and bye bye to all that cash)
