I have an OPEN BOX ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 mobo and a coolermaster storm scout case. Well, I have a lot more than that. But What I really want to know, is how do I connect the front panel properly? I have everything right except the power/reset buttons, and the LEDs. I downloaded the user manual for my mobo and the schematic was of no use. It told me nothing about where to put the connectors (Or did I miss it?)

This was my first rig I ever built by myself, so I am a COMPLETE noob at this. Any help would be appreciated.

The left over connectors are :
HDD LED
POW LED +
POW LED -
POW SW
RESET SW

I just cannot find the pins to put them in. o.O
Much thanks.

That's the panel I was looking at at least. I can't tell which way they are supposed to be oriented though. D:

The PLED goes on the top left pins (# 1 and 3), with the writing on the connector facing down towards the bottom of the board. The speakers connector goes on the top right set of pins (1,2,3,4); the IDE or HDD LED connector goes on the bottom left set of pins (1 and 2);the reset goes on the last 2 bottom right pins, and the PWR SW connector goes on the 4th and 5th pins from the right bottom end. There should be one open pin showing between the PWR SW and RESET connectors. Remember to place all connectors with writing facing bottom of board.

I take it that the open box was missing the Q-Connector (page 2-39 in manual). It makes it so easy for those unfamiliar with panel connectors.

My manual doesn't have that D:
Thank you though. That did it. Are most motherboards like that? Or do you just know right where to look?

LOL....trial and error was my main learning tool. I only use ASUS boards so it was a snap after bumbling through the 1st one. Glad you got it working.

Here's the Q-Connector kit. Makes life simple if you ever do another build:

Yeah, I was afraid to screw anything up. Being as this was my very first custom built rig. But everything is going great. Aion at max setting and 90 FPS. :D It's damn beautiful. Thank you for your help. THat's all I needed before I set it up for real. :]
