29 pregnancies and no twins yet

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on with my game.
Everybody else gets twins, but not me.

I've even tried to tempt fate (and Maxis -- that Giant Game God in the Sky)
by having Cassandra and her 3rd husband Quincy Trapp (the mysterious mad
scientist who appeared in Pleasantville with no past and a murky future)
both be pregnant at the same time. They woohooed just before he was
abducted by aliens and they went through the entire pregnancies together.
Barfing in tandem, getting munchies in the middle of the night and raiding
the refrigerator together, taking that much needed 10am nap after getting
Cassandra's other three kidlets off to school, rubbing each other's bellies
as they clear away the supper dishes. All very sweet and domestic. They
both gave birth within an hour of each other, both having lovely little boys
(poor Cassandra can't seem to have a girl, either) named Sahaj and Simon,
but no twins. Now, if ever there should have been twins for at least one of
them, I would have thought this was the time.

Question: I have the Risky Woohoo hack installed in my game. It has never
worked to come up with a pregnancy from woohoo and not "try for baby" but
I'm wondering if it might be what is stopping my sims from having twins?
Perhaps I will remove it. It was a nice idea, but it hasn't worked.

Possibly it's the cause. Or it could be conflicting with another hack.

I think you should get twins about 1 out of 5 times. Of course, I
think the real rule is, you never get them when you want twins, and
you do get them when you don't.

I am guessing then that you don't use cheats? LOL I use the cheats from
MTS2 to
have twins or triplets. Yes, it is a nightmare but I love it!

I've just had my first twins!! Don't know what I did that was different to
any other pregnancies, but I had a set of boys - one black and one white
though not sure how that works as the mother (Chloe Singles) is green :)

I've been trying for ages to have twins and am quite chuffed now I've
managed it! Just keep playing and some will come along eventually :)

Maybe you can have twins only if your Sim is one.Dina Caliente had two
sets.Girls the first time and boys the second. One of the girls she had with
Lothario had twins a boy and a girl.On the other hand the Pleasant twins
didn't have any.

Try... I haven;t tried it myself but... so you can. 8))

Try... Go into SimPe and drop the household cash down to barely subsistence
level.
The only time I ever got twins the couple had hardly any spare cash.

Let us know if it works......

Oh, all right. I have a pregnant lady living in the lap of luxury. I can
always sent the guy to the races and lose his money. I will try it myself as
well.

You think that's bad? I had a woman give birth to twins. Later the

ALSO gave birth to twins. What a nightmare!

That was exactly what I thought would happen with Cassandra and Quincy, but
no such luck.

Hey... You know all that business about a retirement home filled with
elders? Well what about a maternity home filled with all the pregnant Sims?
A couple of busy little nurses looking after them all. Can go back home
again with a bouncing thingy.

I have a brothel with 4 romance Sims who "service" the neighborhood <sly
grin>. I think all together they've had 36 kids so far.

I've had them in previous installs, but not this one. I've had about
15 pregnancies so far.

Closest I got to that was Nanny woohooing the maid and having twins
while her brother was kidnapped. He only had one. But it was cute having
them preggers at the same time.

I remember the Maxis guys saying in a chat session that the food you
eat can influence if you have twins or not. I have an idea that if
you eat salmon quite a bit (especially for dinner and whoo hoo right
after), you'll get twins.

My first family I played had 2 sets of twins in a row, later on in the
game when the mom had major cooking points and could fix the better
meals. I noticed when I had the family eat salmon and then the
parents whoo hoo, I got twins.

BTW, it's worked with other families too. Now, if I DON'T want twins,
I have them stay away from the salmon. It usually works.

Thank you for that. I took Brandi Broke through three more pregnancies and
each one was a single. Now that her children have started to grow up and
move out, I've got a Sim bin full of Broke males. I hate to just delete
them, but I also don't want to have an entire neighborhood of Broke
families!

Well, I removed all the hacks I have except the "pay bills at the mailbox"

I know they have a twins only hack at MTS2, but I don't want twins all the
time. Once would be nice, though. I just want to see the birth. This last
one with Brandi Broke looked promising because she was as big as a house and
even her butt got big! Sure looked like she might have had two buns in the
oven, but no such luck.
