I am planning to buy a new PC for gaming. Would you please suggest which configuration is better for High-Gaming from the below configuration. Coming to the graphics cards which one is better for games Nvidia or AMD ATI.
1) Intel Based:
Main Board
• XFX nForce 790i 3 - Way - SLI (MB-N790-IUL9)
• AUS Striker II Extreme
Processor
• Core 2 Quad Q9300(2.5,6Mb)
• Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33,4Mb)
2) AMD Based: Main Board
• ASUS M4N82 Deluxe nForce 980a SLI
Processor
• AMD Phenom II X4 955(3.2) AM3
• AMD Phenom II X4 940(3.0) AM2+
• AMD Phenom II X4 920(2.80) AM2+
If your not into overclocking, go with the AMD Phenom II X4 955(3.2) AM3 and save your self a little money too. (The PII overclocks well, but u wont get it to 4ghz)
As for your choice of gfx cards, out of the ones you posted, I would go for the 285. You not considering an ATI card ?
