Lost recycle bin

hello every body : I've been helping a friend who's running windows xp . She seems to have lost track of her recycle bin . I'm in windows 7 , and the two are just not the same at least as far as that goes . Can any one help me to restore her recycle bin or at least find it and maybe get a desktop icon so to have easy access to it from now on .
