Recently our old 19" (standard aspect ratio) monitor packed in, and since it's well out of warranty we need to buy a new one. It needs to be at least 19", no preferance as to widescreen or not. But the main thing is it needs to be relitively cheap. We can't afford £300 for a top of the line 22-inch one. Max price would be £200, but cheaper would be better if you can get anything decent below that.

I know you can get a lot of rubbish ones for cheap but can anyone reccormend a decent cheap monitor. It's only going to be used for web, E-Mail and viewing youtube videos and the like. So no gameing and no fullscreen video to consider. Also it'll need an old VGA connector, but I assume that at this price that's not a problem.

Also it doesn't need all the bells and whistels, speakers are external so it doesn't need built-in. Being able to tilt the monitor for erginomics would be nice but isn't a must.

Thanks a bunch to anyone that can help and if you can't then thanks for reading anyway. :)

Acer, ASUS, and Hanns-G should all have widescreen 22" models close to your budget price. They have models that run roughly $150-160 here in the US. Based on a dollar to British pound conversion rate of 1:1.4, that's about 210-225 pounds.

Im running the 19" screen at the moment.
You can get better brand names for more but this does every thing you want and i game on it as well.
I have no issues with it at all. It has differant pre set modes, built in if a bit tinny sounding speakers but thats as far as i can go for bad points.
