3 way crossfire

Would 3 HD 4890's be able to work together in crossfire? or is crossfire only for 2 grafics cards? the motherboard im using is a asus Rampage II extreme supporting tri-sli and and quad-sli and is also supose to suport crossfire. just wondering if 3 HD 4890's could work together?
