I check in dxdiag and it gives me as 10. Not sure if this is normal or not.

I checked in my SysWOW64 folder and I dont see d3dx10_1.dll. Although there is d3dx9.dll. There is however bunch of d3dx10_37.dll s. Going from 10_33 to 10_40.

Why does it matter? What are you doing that needs it? If you have the correct card and a game that uses it should install with the game. You should already have it assuming you have vista sp1.
