Hi all,

I have just got the following to together:

Intel i5
Gigabyte P55-UD4 LGA1156
Geil 4GB (2x2Gb) DDR3 1333
750w Switching PSU ATX12v
ATI PCI GPU

I have just put this to one side, connected those things and the GPU.
The heatsink is also connected and plugged in.
There is nothing else plugged in to the MB

When i turn the power on to test these, the system boots for one sec, then off, back on for one sec then off......
The CPU fan it going on and off as well....
I get nothing in the beep dept, and the MB LED's come on and go off with the power cycle

Any ideas?

K

Silly question....

With these new boards they have two power points a 24 pin and an 8 pin next to the CPU...
Do i power both?

The manual is not very clear...

Indeed, you want them both plugged in - the eight pin is CPU power only, and with low wattage CPUs, four of the eight 'will do', but there are no i5/i7 processors that I'd consider 'low wattage'...
