Apple 24" LCD Display Comparables

Hello All,

I am attempting to find a comprable or better monitor than the new 24" Apple Cinema Display as this monitor won't work with my current system. The specs on the Apple monitor are:

* Screen size: 24 inches (diagonal viewable)
* Screen type: TFT active-matrix LCD
* Resolution: 1920 by 1200 pixels
* Colors: 16.7 million
* Viewing angle: 178° horizontal; 178° vertical
* Brightness: 330 cd/m2
* Contrast ratio: 1000:1

Any suggestions?

Hmm... close. Is the screen glossy? I should have mentioned I was also looking for a glossy screen. What do you think of the difference in contrast ratio between 800:1 and 1000:1?
