OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer....In other words, you don't get the fancy retail box, manual or (most importantly) the normal Intel warranty.

Regarding your question about the OEM working with your MB....if the specs for your MB state that the Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile T9600 works, then the OEM version will work as well.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, was just trying to complete the definition of OEM.

You have several questions to answer, all of which boil down to (a) Am I buying a real cpu? (b) Is it a working cpu? (c) Will it work in my PC? and (D) Can I install it?

(a) The model number matches a real cpu. I can't verify the picture because I have never seen a naked T9600. You might google for a picture.
(b) This question is usually a non-issue because the seller and manufacturer's warranty protects you. Dunno in your case.
(c) If your PC's mobo can run it, and if the appropriate BIOS is in place, then yes. If not, then no.
(d) Dunno.
