System bios shadow video bios shadow boot error messages

my pc 6824 rna IBM winxp home giving me hard times with boot error
system bios shadow,video bios shadow, frequently i have to correct time date in start uo bios .
no body seems to know the answer in my city.one person ask me to change bios component.computer is 8 year old.
occasionally runs well.
start in safe mode does not work.
recently was infected with win 32 sality removed by avast free edition.
is there any body who can help me before i throw out this IBM machine.
online IBM people dont care i have pledged never to buy ibm/lenovo product.

i will try this remedy

changed the cell
now i dont have to change time and date everytime
i still get 2 beeps at the start time
also get message:1962:no operating system found
rest of the things remain same

after changing the cmos cell and restoring bios values my all problems solved.thank you so much.
