Any

I have a 7 year old Sony that has given up the ghost. It has a P4SD-VX motherboard in it which
I'd like to replace to build a reasonably priced gaming system. I want to reuse the case and
optical drives and replace the rest. Can someone give me some good suggestions as to what
motherboard will fit the case and I'd like to go to an AMD quad core processor.

  1. 1. Put it in this format: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice

    2. Post it in the "New Build" section.
  2. New build...you need a new case. Dump the Sony prebuild case.
Pull the drives and whatever you want to keep, but the PSU and case need to go bye-bye.
  3. You might have a problem with the older optical drives as most new motherboards will have less IDE slots and have more ATA drives.
