Reallocate D drive

Reinstalled Windows 7 OS to system drive (C:);now storage drive (D:) does not appear on My Computer and Disk Management shows it as Unallocated. How do I get the D: drive back without reformatting and losing all files. Thanks.

  1. It sounds like you just need to assign a letter to it. When you are in Disk Management, right click on the drive and select "change drive letters and paths", select "add" and then pick your new letter.
