512mb GDDR3 or 1gb GDDR2

Simple question,

what would you guys recommend?

Radeon HD 4650 1GB GDDR2 or Radeon Hd 4670 512mb GDDR3?

Would the graphics be different or similar? and performance etc

4670 would perform better.

HD4670 the 4650 is not powerful enough to take advantage of 1GB ram and GDDR2 is considerably slower than GDDR3

4670 with 512, definitely. It'll kill the other in performance.

512 MB GDDR3 in general beats 1GB DDR2 in general (Its not GDDR2) Even 256 MB GDDR3 is better than 1GB DDR2.

Specifically, the 4670 is better than the 4650.

More RAM on lower-end cards is just a gimmick, your GPU will be slowed to a crawl before you reach the 512MB limit.
