Coolermaster Tx2 on socket 1156

I want to replace the stock cpu fan on an i5-760. I have a TX2 from a previous socket 775 build and was considering using it in lieu of the stock fan. Does anybody have any experience adapting the TX2 to such a situation?

It would probably cast the same in tools and / or materials as a cheap cooler for your i5. I would suggest just getting a new cooler and not risk having a botch-job .

Thanks for your reply. I just stayed with the stock cooler and for now will not overclock. Idle temps are about 31 degrees C.
