My computer is not able to change resolutions

So, my old 8800GTX craps out on me and I buy a 9800GT as a replacement. I hook it up, install and update the drivers, and it's all fine and dandy, accept for one small thing... (unless I'm playing a game) I am unable to raise the resolution past 640x480.

Please pardon my French, but... WTF? I've never had this problem with my old card. And now suddenly my computer decides to laugh at me.

Any suggestions?

Seems like drivers aren't properly updated. Delete all the old ones and re-install.

I tried reinstalling the drivers, and still... nothing.
