I want to disable camera on device rx3715. I found a file in windows
folder. that is named as 'hpcamapp.exe ' . But this file is in ROM so
it can not ben deleted or renamed. I was wondering if there was a way
to disable the camera on the device in the software.

As I understand it ROM fixes can be applied by writing a file with the
same name as the ROM filename in RAM. Try that- maybe an empty text
file renamed. You'll have to try it yourself- my ppc is still away for
repair- I assume you will have to put it in the same place (ie folder
position) or in your Windows directory. Perhaps someone else will know
but it shouldn't harm trying- you can always delete that file. Perhaps
you can repost what you find out?

If you are doing it for security reasons remember that a handy hard reset
will restore camera functionality...

The solution may not be a software one, that is yu may have to physically
alter the camera, lens or interface.

Hi again,
I create a new empty file in windows directory. I can rename or delete
this empty file. But I want to change for the worse the file
hpcamapp.exe. But I couldn't anything this file. I now this file
return after hard reset operation. But I write an application and I
put in on startup on device so this file is deleted after each hard
reset operation. But I couldn't delete this file.
