will the ocz vendetta fit on my 750i ftw or will the heatsink near the cpu block it anyone tell me?

IIRC, it's more a matter if the entire assembly can fit within your case. What is your case?

Yes the vendetta is a 92mm fan unit and it supports socket 775. It's available for $4.99 after rebate at ZipZoomFly until 10/11/09. Thats 19.99 with free shipping and a $15.00 rebate.

The design seems to be very upright and no overhanging parts to get in way of RAM and bridge/sinks

The Vendetta model at zip seems to be a different one and likely better. It has the direct contact pipes and the one at NewEgg the pics don't show that. Newegg pics are also confusing because they never show it with the fan in place.
