Hi, I just recently built a PC with all parts ordered from a site called Komplett, and I must say I'm glad I went the self-build route :). It includes an Intel Q9400 processor and an ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics card, and frankly my small old monitor from my previous PC doesn't do it justice . So I want to buy a new monitor to go with it, but I don't know which one to choose out of these three:

LG W2253V-PF

LG W2261VP-PF

Samsung Syncmaster T220

They're more or less in the same price range, but which one is better?

Also, I'm assuming none of these monitors have built-in speakers so I want to buy one as well but there isn't really much to choose from. I want one for under 100 euros and also it has to be black to go with the rest of the PC. Should I get this one?

Or is this one better value for money?

On a quick note though, I have a JVC Hi-Fi System lying around which is around 3 years old I reckon. I've read on another website that I can hook it up to my PC using a stereo jack plug. I've checked it and it has an aux/line-in option, so all I need to buy is the plug. Is this a good idea or will a new pair of PC speakers be much better?

I just recently came back from a 3 week holiday so money is a bit tight, if using the Hi-Fi is an ok alternative then I'm all for it :D

Using the old JVC system will do just fine. You may need a converter to go from 3.5mm jack (computer out) to line in (2xRCA connector). If you were in the US, I'd point you to these two items at monoprice:

There's a good chance that the non-computer speakers may sound better, but they'll probably take up more room.

I've got a pair of old av123 bookshelf speakers and a used pioneer receiver for my speaker system.

Alright cheers, I'll give it a try then ;).

How bout the monitor, any ideas? I don't really know what makes a good monitor so which one out of the three do you think is better? Or will any one do just fine?
