Hey guys!
I have a big dilemma now i am using a samsung 2233BW 16:10 ratio and i would like to get another monitor maybe a 2233SW, this one has a ratio of 16:9 so its full hd. Do you think its a good idea to have a 16:10 and a 16:9 monitor side by side ? Will i be able to use the same resolution and keep the same image proportions on the screens ? Because now the 1680x1050 looks a bit too tall (even though its the recommended setting for 2233BW). Is there a noticeable difference (when viewing desktop, not hd movies) between 1680x1050 on 16:10 and 16:9?
Another problem i have is that my EN9800GT-MATRIX/HTDI/512M has only one DVI port, so i will need a splitter... Will this graphic card support those resolutions on dual screens ? Or should i just get two ati cards in crossfire and get rid also of that splitter? I will use the computer for 3D modeling programs (Catia, SW) and some games wow, colin mcrae not crysis :)
My cpu specs are: Q6600 no OC, Asus P5Q Deluxe, Kingston DDR2/800 4GB PC6400 Non-ECC CL5 (5-5-5-15) DIMM (Kit of 2) - HyperX, Nvidia GF9800GT, PCIE* 2.0, 512MB DDR3-256bit, HDTV,2*DVI-I(1HDCP), HDCP, DVI-HDMI adapter, Hybrid cooling Matrix, Extreme 2D power save and 3D performance boost!, 2x HDD SEAGATE 500GB, 7200rpm, 32MB, S-ATA raid0, Asus Silent-Knight-II All in One (775/754/939/AM2) All Speed, Quad Core support; 3-in-1 Universal Clip; 4 pin with PWM control; Copper Base + Aluminum Punched Fins + 6 Heat pipes; 2,300 rpm ± 10% ; 52.25 CFM; 16~28 dBA. Btw is this still a good configuration or is my pc out of date ?

16:10 means 1680x1050
16:9 means 1920x1080

This means that on the 16:9 monitor you will have more workspace, but because both the monitors are 22" the surface of the screen is smaller. Smaller pixels -> everything is smaller.
