Any higherend graphics cards will be a waist in my opinion with the processor you have. Would fist upgrade the processor.

What resolution do you game at? At higher resolutions(1920x1080 and higher), the GPU will be bottle necked by your CPU, at lower resolutions(1280x1024 an lower), the GPU will be under utilized.

The 5850 is much better than the 6850 and is a bargain at that price you will nedd a new power supply for any of them I think

Your CPU is fine unless you plan on running some very high end multi-gpu's. Upgrade that GPU first. I would get a reference HD 5770, stock GTX 460, or the cheapest HD 6850 you can find. I would lean towards the 5770 or 6850 though since they sip much less power. At that resolution, even a GTS 450 or HD 5750 is going to be overkill. Your next upgrade after that GPU really needs to be a high resolution monitor. You might be able to find a used reference HD 5850 for cheap (I'd stick to shopping forums and not ebay).
