So I recently had a friend build me an upgrade to an old comp of mine and he overclocked the Phenom II x4 920 to 3.08ghz. This was done using the Asus M4A785-M mobo, now personally I would like it to stay at it's stock speed as he did this without asking me first. How would I go about setting the cpu back to its stock speed?

If it's stable at that speed.. might as well leave it be.

Incase (for whatever reason) that's not what you want though.. simply load your BIOS. On the second page (I believe) there is an option for "AI Overclocker Tuner". If this is set to manual (with a load of speeds set below it) just set this back to auto and it will put your CPU back to stock speeds.

The Bios screen info that you are looking for is on page 51 of your Asus M4A785-M mobo pdf
Advanced Menu>2.4 Jumper Free Configuration note :"The items and configuration in this menu may vary...'
Look for the "AI Overclocker Tuner" as previous mentioned and set to Auto
You might want to OC and note the previous changes in case you would like them another time esp if they are stable.
