CPU UPGRADE emd620-5355

I just purchased the emd620-5355 $349CDN, I have an amd athlon 64 x2 3800 from my desktop which i recently upgraded. It's a 65 watt CPU. Should I be able to upgrade/install this cpu Will I also be able to put 4 gigs of ram in aswell? I only ask because I have read that this series of notebook can be upgraded to 64 x2

The manual that came with the laptop will tell you the max amount of memory you can install into the laptop.
If it is new, like say a few months old it will likely support up 4gb of memory in two 2Gb sticks
of DDR 2 SO-Dimm memory.

As for the cpu, you could run into problems trying to install a desktop cpu in a laptop.
The first reason is mobile cpu`s run on less of a voltage than a desktop cpu.
The second may be the pin layout of a mobile Cpu may differ from a desktop Cpu.

There postings all over the internet. Yes, you can put in 4 gigs of ram. Also, you can upgrade the cpu to an AMD x2, but you will need to put on good quality thermo-paste (artic ice). :bounce:
