Forum CPU & Components : CPUs Intel Core 2 Duo

Hey guys,

I know that the P series are newer than the T series for the Intel Core 2 duo;

also that the P series runs on 10W less than T series;

and P series has a FSB of 1066MHz and T series has a FSB of 667 - 800 MHz.

But the question is.... between Intel Core 2 duo P 7350 (2.00 GHz) and T 6600 (2.20 GHz) which one is better?

*forgot to mention that the CPU is for laptops not desktop

The T series is not older than the P series necessarily. The only difference between the two that is consistent across the entire line is that the P series is rated at 25W while the T series is rated at 35W. There are definitely T series with a 1066 FSB (such as the 2.8GHz T9600).

That having been said, I'd go for the P7350 in that case, since it is a lower power CPU and you shouldn't notice a whole lot of difference between 2 and 2.2GHz. The extra power is more important than the extra speed as far as most laptops are concerned.

i agree... if your not looking for a powerhouse laptop go with the P... if your looking for a beast, i wouldn't go with ether of em
