I cant get past user login screen on my dell computer it keeps saying my passwor

I see 2 problems...

#1: This is the XP forum, not so terrible that you came here, someone can handle a Vista question.

#2: You attempted to describe your problem in the thread title and it didn't fit.

Welcome to the Community.

first of all, try to go to safe mode with networking, and then login to safe mode with networking and then add a new user account and then try to login to the new account and then reset the password of the old account which is not working. If that doesnt work , then if you have the windows vista operating disc, then it would be easier to reset the password.. if you need further help, you can let me know, will get back to you with the further steps asap..
