I have this system: Cpu: I 720 Oc 3.6 Gb, MB Msi Platinum X58, SuperTalent DDR3-1600 6GB,.....a PSU : Thermaltake Toughpower 600W, with 4 rail of 18 A, end two six-pin PCI Express power connectors.
I want to buy the GTX 285 BFG OC2 video card, or a Evga SC gtx 285.
Please help me if you know, Wat is the thing with rails( PSU has a total 48 A, how this is calculated??? )end If a GTX 285 with a necessary of 40A/42A it wil work with my power supply.I don't have money for another PSU !
Thank you

IF you have 4 +12V rails of 18A it means that you have a total of 72A which is enough for the GTX 285. Buy the Evga GTX 285.

Hi Thank's , but on the inf of my power supply the total of Amp. it is 48A not 72A......see http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Prod [...] =1499#Tab1
also the BFG it is more OC then Evga Sc ,but EVGA has a good reputation on higher clock after facktory OC.

Yes, 48A is right. Obviously he does not have 72A. Only 900/1000 W PSUs have 70A+ But yes, the GTX 285 should work with 48A.
