I was thinking of going with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817815001'

My PC will definitely not need this, but I plan to build a PC for my lil brother by the end of the summer and hand this PSU down and buy a PC Power and Cooling 610 W. Does this one have a good or bad reputation. I know Xigamatek is known for CPU coolers, but anyone hear of their PSU line? Also, seems to be getting great reviews at newegg.

Xigmatek PSU's aren't that bad actually (but there are better out there), as long as they are the models made by CWT (OEM). I am not sure which one you are looking at though, that link just gets a list of different PSU's. Some of the older Xigmatek PSU's are awful.

If they are the same price, the PCPC is probably higher build quality and would be the better choice, but the 650tx is just priced so well that its a much better buy. You can usually get it for $75 with a rebate.
