Cd burning wizard for windows xp

Hello,when i click on the pictures that i want to burn to cd.when the box with the options...send to appears ..my e drive which is the cd drive ...is not listed...and when i go into ,,my computer and try to open the e drive there i get a message ...e drive inaccessible...also in properties there is no recording tab
