I've recently reinstalled WinXP x64 on my desktop pc. The first time i installed it i had a problem with random skips in video and clicking the AVIVO portion of the ATI CC would cause the control center to crash. I somehow fixed the problem on my old install however in my new recent install the problem is back. I'm not sure if its a coincidence or not but both problems exist.

PC spec:

x38 chipset motherboard
Intel e8400
2x radeon 4850's in crossfire
Sound blaster X-fi titanium

Tried with both k-lite and CCCP codec packs to see if there was a problem with the codec packs used.
