4830 or 4770 is cheaper than both and superior to both

4770 > 4830 > 9800GT > 9600GT

4770 would be of better value indeed. Despite the naming scheme, the 4770 is in fact faster and newer than the soon to be replaced 4830. Reviews also shows that the 4770 out performs the 9800GT.

In India?????? Same like me then
Go for 9600 GT or if ur budget allows go for a 9800 GT or HD 4830
Id recommend Nvidia only...... Go for Ati if u dont play games stressing Nvidia GPU

Well, if you want to go for a monstrous, multicore ATI card make sure your PSU can handle it because ATI cards are hard on power consumption. There are reasons why ATI cards outperform Nvidias gpu's first nvidia is big with single core gpu's and ati's multicores eat up to 1.5 times the amount of power. Go for Nvidia and if you really want a good upgrade that will last for a long time buy the 9800gt

If you are considering those cards, as others have said, you really need to be shopping for the 4770.

You aren't going to beat that card at $90.

9800 GT will give you better frame rates. It's worth the extra $20.
